Abstract
Interpreting Chekhov’s Prose consists of an introduction by Donald Rayfield and fifteen chapters that were previously published at different scholarly venues. What unites these chapters is Polakiewicz’s focus on representatives of the medical profession and the various diseases they encountered as depicted in Chekhov’s prose.
