Carolyn Wisniewski's JRW Article wins 2025 IWCA Outstanding Article Award
Dr. Carolyn Wisniewski was awarded the International Writing Centers Association 2025 Outstanding Article Award for “Generous Audience, Activist, Evaluator: Tutor-Teachers’ Knowledge, Practices, and Values for Response to Writing,” which was publish in Journal of Response to Writing Volume 10, Issue 1 (2024)
The IWCA Outstanding Article Awards is given annually and recognizes significant work within the field of writing center studies. Members of the Writing Center community are invited to nominate articles or book chapters for the IWCA Outstanding Article Award.
Criteria for the award include making a significant contribution to the scholarship of and research on writing centers, addressing one or more issues of long-term interest to writing center administrators, theorists, and practitioners, discussing theories, practices, policies, or experiences that contribute to a richer understanding of writing center work, showing sensitivity toward the situated contexts in which writing centers exist and operate, illustrating the qualities of compelling and meaningful writing, and serving as a strong representative of the scholarship of and research on writing centers.
