Abstract
Ana Mitchell discussed her journey into dietetics, starting with a general nutrition class at BYU, which sparked her interest. She completed a five-year DPD program at BYU and a master's degree at USM. Mitchell began her career in foodservice management at BYU, initially as a temporary position, which later became permanent. She highlighted the benefits of job sharing with Julie Duncan for 27 years, which allowed her to balance work and family. Mitchell emphasized the importance of mentors like Nora Nyland and Jane Boudreaux in her career and the evolving role of dietitians in foodservice management.
