Abstract
Julie Duncan, a dietitian and professor at BYU, shared her journey into dietetics, starting with her interest in nutrition during high school and her "love at first sight" experience with the field at BYU. She discussed her credentialing process, including passing the RDN exam at age 21, and her career path, which included roles in the WIC program and public health. Duncan highlighted her role as the DPD program director, balancing teaching and administrative duties. She emphasized the importance of mentorship, particularly from Nora Nyland, and the evolving nature of foodservice management education. Duncan also reflected on the challenges and rewards of her career, including the impact of her work on students and the profession.
