Abstract
Dr. Mary Roseman discussed her career journey in dietetics, starting from her upbringing on a farm and her Bachelor of Science in food and nutrition from Western Kentucky University. She detailed her credentialing process, including a coin toss to choose between internships at Oklahoma State University and the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Roseman shared her experiences as an assistant foodservice director at the University of Central Oklahoma, her transition to teaching, and her subsequent roles in corporate America. She emphasized the importance of leadership, mentorship, and staying current with industry trends. Dr. Roseman also highlighted her research on nutrition interventions in schools and her recognition with the Medallion Award from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
