Abstract

Alice Rainville discussed her career path in dietetics, influenced by her large family and 4-H involvement. Her roles included teaching at Illinois State University, the USA Rice Council, and Eastern Michigan University. Key mentors included Dr. Jean Martin and Dr. Polly Buchanan. Rainville highlighted her research on school nutrition programs and the impact of breakfast in the classroom and recess before lunch. She advised future dietitians to join FSMEC and pursue relevant certifications. Her proudest achievements include guiding students' research and developing new courses.
