Abstract
Darlene Dougherty discussed her journey into dietetics, starting with her early interest and 4-H involvement. She earned her bachelor's in food and nutrition from the University of Idaho and completed her dietetic internship at Walter Reed. She later obtained a master's in food systems management from the University of Missouri. Darlene has been involved in computerizing nutrition and dietetics, teaching, and various management roles. She emphasized the importance of continuous learning, mentorship, and staying current with professional trends. Darlene also highlighted her contributions to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and her ongoing passion for dietetics.
