Abstract
Missy Schrader, a dietitian at Kansas State University, shared her career journey from a food science undergraduate to dietetics professional. She transitioned from Cargill to K-State, completing her master's and practical experiences. Missy highlighted her roles in food production management, student scheduling, and unit directorship, including the challenging Kramer project expansion. She emphasized the importance of mentorship, and the value of professional organizations like NACUFS and KSAND. Missy advised future dietitians to gain practical experience and strive to create a positive workplace culture.
