Abstract
Cement manufacturers may now generate more significant volumes than in the past due to technological advancements and a rise in demand for cement in the construction industry. Higher production levels, on the other hand, have been widely attributed to being the primary source of pollution. The most notable contaminants in the air are Methane, Fume, Dust, Nitrogen oxide, Sulphur oxide, Carbon oxide, and Carbon dioxide, which are the byproducts of cement manufacturers and also harmful to human and plant health through respiration. Excavation activities, dumps, tips, conveyer belts, crushing mills, and kiln emissions are the primary sources of air pollution in these plants. Utilizing proper technologies in the cement industry might go a long way toward reducing waste and pollution on-site. This study looks at various solutions for decreasing pollution at a cement production plant that are currently in use. The research looks at how computer modeling may be utilized for particulate matter classification, quantification, and control, as well as how efficient energy use can contribute to better air quality. Abik Cement Company is one of the largest cement factories in Iran. Measures taken Have shown that the emission rate of pollutants is higher than the standard. Therefore, various activities have been done to improve the environmental issues, which have led to an acceptable reduction of environmental pollutants. At this age, Abik Cement Factory and the nature of pollution in this industry, the need for continuous monitoring of Pollutants, and the environmental management system have become increasingly identified and inevitable.
Air pollution control methods and environmental impacts of the cement manufacturing industry : A case study
Cement manufacturers may now generate more significant volumes than in the past due to technological advancements and a rise in demand for cement in the construction industry. Higher production levels, on the other hand, have been widely attributed to being the primary source of pollution.
