Validacion del Modelo de Produccion Agropecuaria a Pequena Escala en la Comunidad de Tunshi-San Nicolas

Abstract

The model developed in the experimental environment inside the ESPOCH presented satisfactory results. Because of this, it is necessary that the model of production be validated in the farming communities with the purpose of making adjustments before recommending its massive production. In other words, a comparative study should be done on what happened in the experimental farm and what would happen in the community. This is reason why this investigation is titled Validation of the Small-Scale Agricultural Production Model in the Community of Tunshi-San Nicolás. The objectives of the investigation were as follows: Validate the small-scale agricultural production model of the Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo with the purpose of making adjustments for real field conditions; train the farmers how to work the agricultural system, relying on the experience of the Production Model of the ESPOCH; value the farming and livestock practices that the farmer applies in the field, according to the model of the ESPOCH; evaluate the model of the ESPOCH in real conditions of a farmer family in the community of Tunshi-San Nicolás. From the study we can mention the following conclusions and recommendations: The farmer applied most of the farming practices from the experience of the small-scale production model in the ESPOCH. This implies that the hypothesis made in the investigation was fulfilled. The Production Model in the Tunshi-San Nicolás meets all of the nutritional needs of the farming family. According to Don Carlos' experience, to replicate the Production Model, a total of S/. 7'034.530 is needed without manual labor and S/. 8'514.280 is needed with manual labor. The recommendations of the study are as follows: Make many copies of the Production Model for families that have enough manual labor and land. This would be a good alternative in improving the nutritional and economic level of the farmer family. Another recommendation is to train the farmer families about the administration and commercialization of their crops and animals. In addition, they should be taught how to keep simple records of the farming and livestock activities that they perform, especially of the investments that they make.

El Modelo desarrollado en el ámbito experimental al interior de la ESPOCH ha presentado resultados satisfactorios, por lo que es necesario validar el modelo de producción directamente en las comunidades campesinas, con la finalidad de hacer los ajustes antes de recomendar su multiplicación masiva, es decir hacer un estudio comparativo de lo que sucedió en la granja experimental y lo que pasaría en la comunidad. Razón por la que se ha realizado la investigación titulada VALIDACION DEL MODELO DE PRODUCCION AGROPECUARIA A PEQUEÑA ESCALA EN LA COMUNIDAD DE TUNSHI-SAN NICOLAS. Los objetivos planteados en esta investigación fueron: Validar el Modelo de Producción Agropecuaria a Pequeña Escala de la Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo a efecto de ajustarlo a condiciones reales de campo; Capacitar al campesino en el manejo del sistema agropecuario, basándose en la experiencia del Modelo de Producción de la ESPOCH; Valorar las prácticas agrícolas y pecuarias que el agricultor va aplicando en el campo, a partir del modelo de la ESPOCH; Evaluar el modelo de la ESPOCH, en condiciones reales de una familia campesina de la comunidad de Tunshi-San Nicolás. Del estudio realizado, podemos mencionar las siguientes conclusiones y recomendaciones: El agricultor aplicó la mayoría de prácticas agrícolas a partir de la experiencia del Modelo de producción a pequeña Escala de la ESPOCH, lo que implica el cumplimiento de la hipótesis planteada en la investigación; El Modelo de Producción Agropecuaria a Pequeña Escala en la Comunidad de Tunshi- San Nicolás, satisface las necesidades nutricionales de la familia campesina, siendo además rentable (autosuficiente), de acuerdo al Cuadro 22 y 23, se reporta una rentabilidad global con mano de obra del 87.84 %, y sin mano de obra del 126.65%. Para replicar el Modelo de Producción Agropecuaria a Pequeña Escala en Tunshi-San Nicolás, de acuerdo a la experiencia de Don Carlos Pilataxi se requiere de S/. 7'034.530 sin mano de obra y S/. 8'514.280 con mano de obra. Las recomendaciones sugeridas del estudio realizado son: Multiplicar el Modelo de Producción Agropecuaria en forma masiva, a familias que dispongan de suficiente mano de obra y del área de terreno requerida para la ejecución de este modelo, ya que es una alternativa para mejorar el nivel nutricional y económico de la familia campesina. Capacitar a las familias campesinas sobre la administración y comercialización de sus cultivos y animales, además enseñarles a llevar registros sencillos sobre las actividades agrícolas y pecuarias que desarrollan, principalmente las inversiones que hacen.
