It began as a tiny What if? –prompted by a Carnegie Mellon tradition and a professor, Randy Pausch, who literally gave his Last Lecture on September 18, 2007. One month before, doctors had told Pausch he only had a few months to live. His lecture Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams, led to a book: The Last Lecture. I found his book on a community bookshelf and read it cover to cover. It was peppered with humor, advice, and endearing short stories.
