Manuscript Guidelines
We welcome your submissions in various forms:
- Research-based articles (1,000-2,500 words) that describe your practice as it connects to important literacy and/or education research. Your submission should provide details of the theories and your practice as well as describe the outcomes of your practice.
- Short pieces (500-750 words) describing a single teaching idea or lesson plan that has had a positive impact on your students. Your submission should have enough detail that other teachers can easily replicate the idea in their own classrooms.
- Commentary and observations (700-1,000 words) that reflect on the field of teaching, ELA classrooms, our students, and other pertinent areas.
- Poetry and other media that would be appropriate for our audience.
Consider the audience of practicing classroom teachers as you shape your thoughts. Writers outside of Utah and the United States are encouraged to submit as well.
