Abstract

Quantum dots (QDs) are tiny semiconductors, whose size dictates their optical properties. Notably, expanding them with heat changes the color of their photoluminescence (PL). We use machine learning models to identify the relationship between the temperature and PL of quantum dots. Our model successfully predicts temperatures within an accuracy of 0.5 ℃. The model was tested on a range of biological temperatures (25 - 46 ℃) suggesting its applicability to biomedical devices.
