Abstract

The problem of determining unknown parameters in the two-dimensional heat equationis considered. A method based on the Levenberg–Marquardt algorithm (LMA) is examined. Theapproach is successfully applied to solve the inverse problem of a two-dimensional parabolicequation whose coefficient is a partition paragraph function. The numerical results demonstrate theeffectiveness of the proposed method.
