Abstract
This paper presents the preliminary design of a marine sensor network with highspatial-density of nodes, which uses artificial intelligence techniques to observe episodic eventsof dynamic natural phenomena in shallow waters. The focus of the research is on how to useintelligent data analysis and reactive behavior to improve the management of network resources,thus increasing the quality of the data collected or reducing the costs of the associated technology
