Abstract
This is my thirtieth and final YA literature column for English Journal. Beginning with the next issue of EJ, Donald R. Gallo, one of the leading experts in YA literature today—and the leding YA short story anthologist in America—will take my place. Don has some terrific ideas, and in the future this column, which will be renamed "Bold Books for Innovative Teaching," will provide EJ subscribers with useful and thought-provoking insights into books for teenage readers.
