Abstract
Nephi Lorenzo Mitchell (May 4, 1889 – November 9, 1968) was a pianist, organist, music teacher and composer, whose life and work took place in three countries: England, Canada and the United States. Mitchell was named the Aaronic Priesthood Music Director for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1945, and was the director of the McCune School of Music and Art from 1950-1957. He served on the General Music Committee of the Church from 1938-1968.
