Abstract
Librarians who work with developing digital library collections can sometimes feel isolated from the users of these collections, but an active outreach and instruction program can connect librarians with students and digital library users. This panel will feature various ways digital library staff can foster relationships with faculty, students, and the broader community to encourage awareness and use of digital library collections. Panelists will include librarians who have developed a variety of programs that directly engage with digital library users including faculty collaborations, classroom instruction, collaborative digitization, crowdsourced collections, born digital oral histories, and digital scholarship partnerships.
