Antecedents of Adolescent Self Evaluation : A Cross-National Application of a Model
Keywords
Adolescent, cross-national, self evaluation
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to initiate construction of a model to analyze the development of self evaluation among adolescents. A major part of such an effort is to first select variables which are possible causal factors effecting self evaluation, and then finding methods of ordering the variables sequentially. The model thus formulated will be evaluated cross-nationally as a partial test of the presupposition that the process of developing self evaluation prior to adulthood is similar across cultures.
