Abstract

The Journal of Clinical Activities, Assignments & Handouts in Psychotherapy Practice is designed to provide clinicians from all mental health disciplines a resource for working with many types of clients while providing activities, homework assignments, advice, and interventions to be used in therapy. This journal is geared to help clinicians gain and share information helpful to providing brief, outcome-focused treatment, demanded by the mental health marketplace as necessary for successful reimbursement. Along with the demands of insurance and managed care reimbursement is the emphasis on the use of well-researched and empirically proven mental health treatments. However, the collaboration of researchers and clinicians in providing mental health care has been tenuous at best.
