Abstract
While modern church facilities are constructed with relative ease, this first chapel in Taiwan was made possible only after intense effort and sacrifice on the part of both members and missionaries. The purpose of this paper is to chronicle their work in identifying the land and constructing the first LDS church building in the Chinese realm.
