How Is Scale and Structure Determined in Agriculture?

Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to note and assess recent changes in scale and structure of U.S. agriculture. Census data will be reviewed in the light of hypotheses that have been advanced to explained structure and scale. Our purview will be limited to the farm production sector.
