Abstract
To understand more fully how Allenrolfea occidentalis (S . Wats . ) Kuntze tolerates high salt concentrations and why it grows in hummocks, this study was undertaken . Allenrolfea is a shrubby member of the Sa licorneae subfamily of the Chenopodiaceae family , with practically leafless green succulent stems and inconspicuous flowers .
