Written by the journal’s editorial board or a scholar in the field of literary criticism, the prompt typically focuses on current issues or popular critical conversations. While responding to the prompt is not required, the editorial board will prioritize submissions that relate to the current issue’s theme.

Coping with Change

Every era has confronted change brought on by new technologies, armed conflict, and social reform. Our own generation faces a global pandemic, war in Ukraine, and widespread misinformation. We invite submissions that address texts from different times and places that could help us navigate the current crises.
