Biography
Margarethe von Eckenbrecher was born and educated in Germany, then married Gustav Heinrich Theimistokles von Eckenbrecher, with whom she moved to South Africa to colonize Namibia, then a German protectorate. She published and lectured extensively, partly during the years she taught at a women's business school.
