Biography
Edmund Dorer was a Swiss poet, translator, and Hispanist born in Baden on June 15, 1831. He was son to politician and writer Eduard Dorer-Egloff and brother to sculptor Robert Dorer. He studied philosophy in Munich, Leipzig, and Berlin. He traveled to Spain to focus on Spanish literature, then translated Spanish poetry. He died in Dresden on May 5, 1890.
