Biography
Grete Meisel-Heß was an Austrian Jewish feminist and writer born in Prague on April 18, 1879. She lived in Vienna from 1893 to 1908 and studied philosophy, sociology, and biology. She published short stories, essays, and novels with the purpose of creating social and sexual reforms for women. In addition, she addressed women’s emancipation and individualism. In 1908 she moved to Berlin where she later died on April 18, 1922.
