Biography
Marie Luise Kaschnitz was born near Karlsruhe in 1901. At 20 she moved to Rome, where she lived for several years. She married Guido Kaschnitz von Weinberg and moved back and forth between Germany and Italy for the rest of her life. She wrote poetry and books in both places. She died in Rome in 1974.
