Biography
Lya Ley found her stage debut in 1910 as a small child in the role of Hansel in the piece 'Der Verschwender', directed by Ferdinand Raimund.
The highlights of her career play out as the star of silent movies with fellow friends Pola Negri, Asta Nielsen, Henny Porten, Fern Andra, Mia May, Marisa Leiko and Lya Mara. Ley withdrew herself from the film industry in the 1920s, thus ending her career.
