Everyday Stewards: Sustainability in Action 2022

"As beneficiaries of the divine Creation, what shall we do? We should care for the earth, be wise stewards over it, and preserve it for future generations." -President Russell M. Nelson

The Harold B. Lee Library and the BYU Sustainability Office co-sponsored a student photo competition during fall semester 2022. The theme of the competition is Everyday Stewards: Sustainability in Action.

Each of us shares the responsibility of taking care of our planet and its resources. As we look around us, we can see some indications of good stewardship in our natural environment, our built environment, and our social environment. Some of these are found quite close to home: in our daily interactions with others, in the buildings we frequent, in classes, lab work, and internships. Chances are you are also helping by making sustainable choices.

This exhibit showcases BYU student photographs of examples of good stewardship and sustainable practices. Many of these images highlight BYU student sustainability projects.

The creator of each photograph retains the copyright to the work. See the BYU Library's Copyright and Use Information page to learn more.
