Abstract
Suwallia sierra and Sweltsa pisteri are described as new species in the family Chloroperlidae from California, USA. Illustrations of the male terminalia of both species and the female and egg of S. sierra are presented. In addition, detailed figures of the epiproct of 2 similar species, Sweltsa townsei and Sweltsa resima, are included. Diagnoses are provided comparing the new taxa with related species. Observations indicate that S. sierra may belong to the same clade as the genus Neaviperla.
