Abstract
Cassandra was adopted into the best family, but she's still curious about who she is, so she begins to search for her birth mother. As soon as she does, life gets much more complicated. Cass's mom falls ill and needs a life-saving heart transplant. The state drama competition is coming up, and Cass needs to win the scholarship so she can afford to attend her dream college. Then, a very attractive boy moves to her school and joins her in playing the lead role in the school play. As her life collapses, Cass finds out that her birth mother has written letters to her. Finding them teaches Cass where she came from, but more importantly, they teach her how to make the most of the life she has been given.
