Lupita Herrera is an aspiring artist. Her heart lies in acting and photography and she strives to double major in both her passions. She has a tendency to write, and there are currently 5 journals that she alternates writing in at the moment. Fashionable Child Labor is one of my favorite creative projects. For this still life, I wanted to create something that communicated a message and possibly a catalyst for change. Child labor in the fashion industry is still a huge issue and I wanted to address it in my photos. I hope people can see these photos and go through a journey of not recognizing the children placed specially in their areas and then understanding what story these photos tell. I hope people can take these images as inspiration and awareness. I have always aspired to make people think, and I love finding silver linings between doing what I love and presenting photos that illustrate what needs to be said.
