Abstract
Occurrence of agonistic behavior patterns in Spermophilus beecheyi at a concentrated artificial food source was studied. Our data from 851 encounters are compared with previously published information from unmanipulated populations. Eight new behavior patterns (rump block, kick, forward shove, pounce, displacement grooming, circle fight, roll fight, and boxing fight) are described.
