Abstract
When I was asked to do a history on Harald P. Nielsen in observance of the 100th anniversary of his birth, I envisioned a relatively short sketch. It developed into much more than that. In this paper I have documented, quoted and plagiarized. I hope I have conveyed facts as accurately as possible.
