Abstract
It is a great pleasure to present in this newsletter Part Two of Professor Heinz K. Meier's absorbing sketch of the history of the Swiss American Historical Society. He shows ppw many minds tried their best in making the organization relevant, and their efforts remain an inspiration to those engaged in carrying on what they had so enthusiastically begun. Success based on competence and unity of purpose does not come easily as Professor Meier's story clearly shows, but the perspective of time reveals past crises as seemingly unavoidable growth pains and selfless respect for the work of others as perhaps the firmest foundation for a viaple future.
