Abstract

The Swiss American Historical Society (SAHS) is a reslative newcomer among the organizations which are dedicated to the historical study of a particular ethnic group. It was founded on July 4 , 192, in order "to meet the growing demand for a comprehensive account of the role which the Swiss element ... has played in the history of this country."
