Abstract
This Newsletter is a brain child of our First Vice President, Dr. Leo Schelbert, now on sabbatical leave in Switzerland (address: Wilerweg 32, 4600 Olten). On his initiative, at our Regional Meeting in New York of May 2nd, 1969, Professor Barbara Siche:rman of Manhattanville College gave us a lecture on the life career of the Swiss American pioneer in psychiatry, Dr. med. Adolf Meyer (1866 - 1950). In the audience, our member Dr. med. Hans Syz, born 1894, who is with the Lifwynn Foundation at Westport, Connecticut, himself an outstanding psychiatrist, greatly enriched Miss Sichennan' s presentation by his personal recollections of Adolf Meyer and his time. We bring here Miss Sicherman's paper and an annotated bibliography of Dr. Syz' works which we owe to the diligence of Dr. Leo Schelbert.
