Abstract
Zollinger, Albin (1895-1949), Swiss poet, novelist, and essayist, was born in Rüti, canton Zürich, where he spent his life as a schoolteacher. Zollinger is probably the greatest lyric poet in 20th century Swiss-German literature. His poetical style shows a genuine relationship to the styles of Georg Trakl, Gottfried Benn, Wilhelm Lehmann, and Peter Huchel.
