Abstract

Walter, Otto F. (1928-), Swiss novelist and playwright, was born in Rickenbach near Olten, canton Solothurn. After graduating from the gymnasium, he served as an apprentice to a bookseller and worked for a printing office in Cologne. In 1956 he took charge of the literary program of the Walter publishing house in Olten. Eleven years later, in 1967, he joined the firm of Luchterhand in Darmstadt in the same capacity.
