Abstract
Over the past several years, from botched festivals to forged religious documents, stories of fraud and exploitative business practices have illuminated our screens. LuLaRich is one of the more recent contributions to US audiences’ fascination with scams. The four-part documentary explores the social, economic, cultural, and religious intersections of family and community in the US through interviews with current and former “independent fashion retailers,” employees, commentators, and DeAnne and Mark Stidham, cofounders of LuLaRoe.
