Your new copy of the JBS Newsletter features Stephen Hastings's definitive review of Bluebell's final CD issue, the 2-disk set Jussi Bjorling: Concerts in Finland and the USA (1940-1957).
Fundamentally important points made in that review are that "the Bjorling we hear here is at his very best," with his singing of five Sibelius songs "unmatched in its beauty" and in sound that is "restored to exceptionally vivid effect by Seth Winner."
