Abstract

The purpose of this project is to sequence the untranslated region of the AdipoQ gene and interrogate it for novel genetic variation and potential microRNA sequences. This work will illuminate how adiponectin levels are regulated and provide insights into type II diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and obesity.
