Abstract
There are many instances in our world today where a distinct decision must be made at each stage of a process. Any decision made has both immediate and long term impacts. Hence, when making these decisions any low present cost must be balanced with the possibly high future costs. Choosing the best set of decisions, which minimizes the total cost, is the essence of sequential decision making problems.
