Abstract
The major research that I have worked with is on the extraction of biologically active compounds from plant endophytes native to the west desert of Utah and high altitude Paramo of Ecuador. For a year I have been working the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry’s Natural Product Research Group under Dr. Noel Owen and Dr. Steven Wood. I planned and am executing a project that combines several different disciplines; anthropology, botany, and chemistry.
