Abstract

Information is essential for ceramic artists to increase technical knowledge and as a source of inspiration. With the chance of visiting Senegal, West Africa on a study abroad, I wanted to take advantage of my time there to research the techniques of ceramic artists. My goal was to find out how ceramic artists were working and present this information to students at BYU. I also wanted to acknowledge the contributions of undocumented artists.
