Abstract
All names known to apply to the genus Oxytropis de Candolle in North America are listed with place of publication, type information (where known), type specimen repositories, and notations pertinent to understanding the nomenclatural aspects of the genus. Nomenclatural combinations proposed are: Oxytropis arctica R. Brown var. murrayi (Jurtzev) Welsh and O. campestris (L.) de Candolle var. roaldii (Ostenfeld) Welsh.
