Abstract
West, a popular high school senior who races dirt bikes, wakes up in the hospital completely paralyzed. Unable to connect with his family and friends, he soon finds he can communicate through blinking with the girl in the room next door. Olivia is the only person he can interact with, and she gives him hope and sanity as he comes to terms with his accident and the nightmares he keeps having. After West's family decides to have a dangerous operation performed, West returns to the hospital to find that Olivia is also paralyzed and that his nightmares reveal important secrets about her.
