Abstract
Things begin to change when Lauren’s father is murdered. After two girls are also eviscerated in the woods, Lauren discovers their deaths are linked to her father’s. It turns out that murders have been a regular occurrence in the sleepy midwestern town, and Lauren’s grandmother knows why they are buried and forgotten, and how they can be stopped. Something that was leashed has torn its way to freedom, and it may rip Lauren’s small world apart completely if she doesn't master her blossoming power to stop it. However, somebody else knows her secret—and they want Lauren dead.
