Abstract
Joan of Arc was born in France during the Hundred Years War. England and France had been fighting for almost a century and France was in desperate need of a hero. At just twelve years old, Joan heard three saints telling her she needed to help and as she grew she continued to hear voices. Word began to spread of Joan’s special calling to help save France, leading her to became the leader of a small company of soldiers and one of the world’s most famous war heroines.
